After bankrupting the ACC I decided to leave my career as a chef for a job with a swivel chair. 4 years in Auckland’s professional Kitchens saw me cater and run events of up to 1000 people, but now I make ads with a Barista. I have few regrets, but not documenting my days in the life of a chef is my biggest (imagine the TikTok fame). I have a degree in Psychology, which Emily resents because apparently she doesn’t need an unqualified psychiatrist for a creative partner.

Add in my 14 years living in South East Asia, my twin brother, and my year at a London drama school, it’s safe to say Two Truths and Lie hates to see me coming.

ROMY LANE

Firmly planted in the clouds, Romy often has to bring me back down to earth. I’m a professional illustrator, graphic designer, animator, and now art-director. Not that I’ll ever tell you; when prompted I usually say I’m a barista, because I’ve come to know that a good coffee is worth more than almost anything. Though, my caffeine practices play a close second to my ability to identify all of Aotearoa’s fish, birds, and fauna. A birdie told me that coffee is highly coveted in advertising, so here I am.
